Synopsis:
A pretty young Aboriginal girl called Jiddun-Jiddun was promised in marriage to an old man called Wolja. Jiddun-Jiddun didn’t want an old husband and so ran away. The next day Jiddun-Jiddun was still running and exhausted she collapsed in the desert asking the good spirits for help. The good spirits took pity on her and turned her into a Willy-Willy. Wolja, in hot pursuit saw what happened and begged to be turned into a Willy-Willy also. That is why today when people see two Willy-Willies running across the desert they say “There goes Jiddun-Jiddun and Wolja, he hasn’t caught her yet!”
